I spoke with a rep, who spoke to a specialist, who had no clue how to provide target parameters to expansion packs since Origin moved them from the main library to a separate area. Was also able to provide the target parameters in the shortcut. I thought it was my computer at first, then decided to run the expansions by a short-cut, bypassing Origin altogether. I wanted to give the expansion packs a target parameter to stop the cinematics since I have to reload save files all the time, but the only option for an EP is to play it, not give them Game Properties. Anyway, so I have to save all the time before I do the switch. I do this because I'm watching videos of missions. If you notice a negative impact on your game, consider moving it back to your primary hard drive.Well, AOE3 freezes constantly if I switch between the game and my desktop or IE3. Note that moving your game off the C: drive may result in performance issues.
Steam will automatically move the game’s files to the new library location. Select the new folder and click the Move Folder button. 
Click the Local Files tab, and then the Move Install Folder button.
Right-click on the game you want to move and select Properties. Select the drive where you want to create a new Steam library folder, name it, and click OK to create the new folder. Click the Steam Library Folders button, and then Add Library Folder. Click Steam > Settings, and then select the Downloads category. First, you’ll need to make a Steam library folder on the second drive. Click Move to automatically move the game to a new home. Choose a new drive from the drop-down menu. 
Select Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Windows 11 users press the Windows key and search for Installed Apps. For Windows 10 users press the Windows key and search for Apps & features. Note that your Save files, Recorded Games, and Crash Reports will still save to your C: drive, and MUST remain there to be accessible in-game. Depending on the platform you are using (Microsoft Store or Steam), moving your game’s installation location will require different steps.
